Information We Collect

We collect information, including personal information, to provide better services to you. Information that You Provide to Sharper Marina.

  • Contact Us. When you express an interest in obtaining additional information about our services, request information about the marina and slip management systems, request support, or fill out a form, we collect your personal information, such as your name, business name, phone number, email address, location, and other information you provide. This includes personal information on any document you may attach to form.
  • Communications. When you communicate with Sharper Marina by phone or email, we collect the personal information you provide, such as your name, email address, and phone number.  This also includes personal information on any documents you may attach to emails.
  • Registration and Account Information. When you register for an account with our marina and slip management systems, we will collect the personal information you provide, including your email address. In addition to using your email address to provide our services, your email address may also be used to reset your password and to contact you regarding your account. 
  • Demos and Calendar Scheduling. When you schedule a demo, , we collect the personal information you provide, such as your name, email address, business email address, business name, business address, business phone number, guest email address, size of your business, and any other information you provide. We use a third party service provider to provide this demo on our Site, which gives you the option to connect your third party calendar (e.g. Office, Apple, Google) to display the Sharper Marina demo session. Sharper Marina will also create/modify/delete the details of the demo invites on your calendar(s). Sharper Marina will not use any information from your calendar(s) for any purposes other than to display the information on the Sharper Marina scheduling module.
  • Surveys, Questionnaires and Polls. When you choose to participate in a survey, questionnaire or poll, Sharper Marina will collect the personal information that you provide. Sharper Marina uses this information to facilitate feedback and input from you. 
  • Newsletter Subscription. If you subscribe to our newsletter, such as to learn about product updates, we may collect your name and email address to send you emails and information about our services.
 

Social Media.

If you post information on our webpage or on a social media platform, we may use the information to respond, to promote our business and services, and in the normal course of our business operations. We may collect your personal information, such as your social media username and other personal characteristics that you have made publicly available on the social media website. Note that the third-party operators of social media websites also receive such information, and their use of your personal information is governed by their own privacy policies.
 

Automated Data Collection: Cookies & Similar Technologies.

When you visit our Site, we and our third-party partners, such as analytics providers (including Google Analytics), collect information by automated means. 
 
We may use cookies and similar technologies to collect personal identifiers (such as your IP address), information about your device (such as your browser characteristics, device IDs and characteristics, and operating system version) and information concerning your usage of our Site (including the link you used to reach a given webpage, number of visits, visitor source and visitor activity). You may be able to change a web browser’s settings to block and delete cookies when you access the Site through the web browser. However, if you do that, the Site may not work properly; also, we will still receive basic information (such as last URL visited) when you navigate to the Site. The Site does not respond to browser do-not-track signals.
 

How We Use Information We Collect

We use the personal information we collect from our Site as described above and to provide, maintain, and improve the Site, to develop new products and services, and to protect our company and you. Sharper Marina uses service providers and vendors to provide services on Sharper Marina’s behalf, such as sending emails, providing calendar scheduling services, and storing information, and Sharper Marina may disclose your personal information to them. Sharper Marina informs these vendors and services providers that they may not share or use your information for any other purposes.  

Partners and Integrations. Sharper Marina’s services include providing integrations with certain partners to Sharper Marina customers. If a customer directs Sharper Marina to use an integration, Sharper Marina will disclose personal information to such partner as directed by its customer.

Legal and Similar Purposes. We may disclose your personal information for legal reasons. Specifically, we will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of Sharper Marina if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

  • meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request;
  • enforce Site’s service terms, including investigation of potential violations;
  • detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; or
  • protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Sharper Marina, you, or the public as required or permitted by law.

We will attempt to notify you about legal demands for your personal information when appropriate in our judgment, unless prohibited by law or court order or when the request is an emergency. We may dispute such demands when we believe, in our discretion, that the requests are overbroad, vague or lack proper authority, but we do not promise to challenge every demand.

Merger, sale, or other asset transfers. We may disclose your personal information in the event of a business transfer. If we establish a new related entity, are acquired by or merged with another organization, or if substantially all of our assets are transferred to another organization, personal information about our users is often a transferred business asset. In the event that Sharper Marina itself or substantially all of our assets are acquired, personal information about our users may be one of the transferred assets.

 

Marketing Email Opt-Out

We may use your email address to send you promotional and marketing materials. You may opt-out of receiving marketing emails at any time by emailing us as directed in the marketing email.

However, it is not possible to guarantee that information sent through the Internet will be completely secure, and we are not responsible for the actions, content, information or data of third parties that may affect you or your information. No Use by Children

This Site is intended for use by individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not intend to collect information on anyone under 18 years old. If a child has provided us with personal information, a parent or guardian of that child may contact us to have the information deleted from our records.
